today we visited Cosford, which may i say was extremley cold, although the exhibition was quiet interesting. As soon as we arroved off the train it was freezing, and think its funny how you can be in one place (birmingham), step of atrain 20 minutes later and it be so much colder. Anyway, after getting there, we were able to explore the exhibition, looking at the planes and unfiroms used during the wars. I found this so interesting, as you dont really know how much stuff goes into a plane, and when opened up, you can see all its 'insides', which is pretty cool. I was also shown the insides of a tyre, and thought that was also interesting as you never really get a chance to see the inside of one, and i did. Looking around at the aircrafs, i thought it also amazing how these planes were once in the sky fighting, as well as the uniforms on show.
Whilst photographing, i also found my inspiration came so easy and quickly, as the smallest detail on the plane, such as the writing on the side of the aircraft, or the wheel bolts, became ideas of prints for my next project, which is also very handy.
Overall, i though the exhibition was really interesting, giving me an insight of what the planes were like, as well as the elements that actually make up the aircraft itself.
Apart from the rain and wind, i had good day. (also as my samosas were delicious, mm) :)
